About the Cabin

This modern, three-bedroom, log cabin adjoins Cunningham State Falls Park, outside of Thurmont, MD. It includes a great room with a 22-foot ceiling, loft, and stone fireplace. Complete with two full bathrooms, a kitchen, 2 double beds, and 4 twin beds, this air-conditioned cabin offers all the amenities of home with a wilderness view from the sunroom. Accessed by a 0.7 mile moderately easy, but rocky hike-in, Catoctin has emerged as one of the most popular PATC cabins. A hike-in after dark is not recommended. Hikers can traverse Catoctin Trail or visit Cunningham State Falls Park and Catoctin Mountain Park.

Please note that pets are prohibited.

NOTE: PATC will provide renters with parking passes for two vehicles.

ACCESS ALERT: Do not attempt the hike-in after dark. From November through April, renters should contact the Cunningham Falls Duty Ranger at 301-712-6964 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to ensure the park gate is left open.
