Centennial T-Shirt Contest


Centennial T-Shirt Design Contest Instructions 

 

Eligibility/Entry 

There is no entry fee to submit a design. If you are under the age of 18, your design must be submitted by a parent or guardian on your behalf. Entrants must either be members of PATC or the household must be a member of PATC until August 1, 2026. 

Rules and Guidelines: 

  1. All designs must be original creations of the contestant and incorporate all of the required design components outlined below. Submissions must not have been previously published and must not contain profanity, trademarks, AI generated content, other organization's logos, or any copyrighted works of any other person or business. 
  2. Design(s) must be submitted in .pdf format, via this link  by 11:59pm (ET) on July 15. 
  3. Winning designer agrees to sign a waiver to allow PATC the use of their design, free of charge, for any and all printing and promotional purposes. 
  4. Winner must agree to submit a high-resolution layered vector art file within 7 days of notification and agree to work with PATC's printer if slight changes/modifications are necessary for production. If not, an alternate winner may be chosen to meet the production deadlines. 

 

Required Design Components 

Theme: Design theme must celebrate the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club's 100 years and is open to your own interpretation. 

 

Colors: Please use only the following colors in the designs: Green, yellow, black, red, and/or white. 

 

Logo: Designs do not need to include the PATC logo, but PATC maintains the right to include the logo on the final product. 

 

How Winner is Selected 

 

  1. Entries will be evaluated by an independent internal panel of judges and will be reviewed for: 
  2. Concept and originality of design 
  3. Visibility from a reasonable distance 
  4. Adherence to design and submission rules and guidelines 
  5. Totality of design and production readiness 
  6. Upon final review, the top three designs will be presented for a public vote from the community (limit of one vote per person) beginning on July 20. Vote must be submitted by 11:59pm (ET) on July 24. If a tie breaker is required, the PATC panel of judges will have final say.
