Youth Conservation Corps
We receive many notices from our partner organizations. Two recent ones about the U.S. Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) caught our attention. We suggest young people look into the YCC. While anyone who is interested should check out the links below.
The YCC is a summer employment program that gives young people work experiences related to stewardship and community involvement. YCC programs are generally 8 to 10 weeks and members are paid the minimum wage for a 40-hour work week. Federal parks and forests, including some in our area, have YCC programs.
Here are some resources about this program. There is probably more out there. Interested youth should contact their local park or forest for more information.
