Description: This hike of a bit over four miles  will start from the parking lot that is shared between Montgomery County Parks and Sequoyah Elementary School. (17301 Bowie Mill Road, Derwood, MD  20855) We will follow a paved trail for 3/4 mile, and continue on to two natural surfaced forest trails, the Kengla Trail and the North Branch Trail. We will rejoin the paved trail to complete the hike.  Hiking poles and boots will be helpful.   Picnic tables for public use are available in the adjoning park area at the conclusion of the hike.  Please plan to be ready to circle up by 10:15 a.m.
Directions:  Follow Google map directions to Sequoyah Elementary School at 17301 Bowie Mill Road.  Park near the rear of the lot on the left side, near the Porta Pot.
