Description: We will meet at the Connecticut Avenue exit from the Woodley Park Metro station on the Red Line. Bathrooms can be found in the coffee shops in the vicinity of the station. We’ll walk on the Rock Creek Park trail to Georgetown. It is a one-mile forest trail so poles are advisable. After reaching Dumbarton Oaks Gardens, we’ll descend 31st Street to the Potomac, and walk via the Kennedy Center to Foggy Bottom Metro. We can eat lunch in one of the restaurants near the Metro. Please refrain from hiking if you are not fully vaccinated. Hike is canceled if DC Public Schools are closed or open late due to inclement weather.
