COVID-19 Measures (updated on 3/12/2023)
Join the Spooky Beaver Trail Crew to maintain the 37 miles of hiking paths in historic Prince William Forest Park (PWFP), Triangle, VA , a unit of the National Park Service (NPS). Typical tasks include building new and maintaining existing hiking trails and footbridges, vegetation control, and painting blazes on trees. Specific tasks to be performed during the outing will be provided via email.
Wear hiking shoes and dress for the weather; bring day pack, water (at least two quarts but more if hot weather), bug spray, trail lunch, safety glasses, work gloves, and any medications that might be needed (inhaler, epi pen, etc.). All tools and equipment provided.
Meet at the Turkey Run Education Center (TREC) parking lot by 9:00 am. We typically work until 2:30 pm, but you can leave as you like.

The National Park Service follows the latest COVID-19 prevention practices determined by the COVID-19 Community Level as published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC for Prince William County, Virginia. COVID-19 Community Levels are a tool to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. Levels can be low, medium, or high. Currently Prince William County is rated “LOW.” Prevention steps for “LOW” include staying up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and getting tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms.
