Description: 

Meet in the parking lot of Great Falls Park (9200 Old Dominion Dr. McLean, VA) for an approximately 5 -mile hike from Great Falls Park to Riverbend Park proceeding north along trails in Riverbend Part, then, returning to Great Falls along the Potomac Heritage Trail.  National Parks Pass or $15/car for entrance fee required. Bring lunch and water. Plans are to eat lunch at Riverbend. Sturdy shoes and hiking poles are recommended given there are some rocky areas along the Potomac.  Directions: From the Beltway  Take exit 44 for VA-193 (Georgetown Pike). Turn onto VA-193 west at the stop light at the top of the ramp. Drive about three miles and turn right onto Old Dominion Drive at the stop light. The entrance to the park is about one mile down the road.
