Bring lunch and water for a five mile hike around Clopper Lake, and more.  From I - 270 local lanes, take exit 10 and turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto W Diamond Clopper Road.  Two miles later, shortly after you pass Game Preserve Road, turn left off of Clopper Rd. into Seneca Creek State Park (11950 Clopper Rd, Gaithersburg, MD), as indicated by the park entrance sign.  Go straight back on the park entrance road, past the weekend pay collection kiosk (unstaffed on weekdays, no fee due)  As you approach the T, use the slip lane to turn right, then take the first left turn, then very shortly, turn right into the parking area for the Tire Playground/Pines picnic area/restroom.  The GPS coordinates for the parking lot are: 39° 08' 44" N, 77° 15' 09" W. You may follow the signs to the Boat Center, but stop short of the Boat Center, and park at the playground. Alert: Future I - 270 expansion/construction may cause some route alterations.
