Description: 

Volunteers interested in receiving the Forest Service chainsaw certification so you can buck/cut up trees as part of your volunteer trail maintenance activities. If you are not a FS volunteer, you will need to complete an Forest Service Individual Volunteer Agreement prior to taking the class. This is a two day class, and you will need a 1st aid, CPR, and AED certificate for your saw card to be valid. RSVP to the Lee Ranger District office with your intent to attend this course by February 25th at (540) 984-410.

Personal Protective Equipment required for the class:

8-inch-high Leather Boots [nonskid soles & ankle support]

Hard hat, hearing protection, Wrap-around Eye Protection, leather gloves.
