Start Time: 7:00 AM

Description: Here's an opportunity to visit the home sites and learn about the families that lived in this area of the Park less than one hundred years ago. Anna Porter, a long-time explorer of the Shenandoah National Park, will lead us into Sugar Hollow, in the south district of the SNP, to explore and visit some of these sites. This 7-mile hike will start at Jarman's Gap and include several rock-hopping stream crossings. While most of the hike will be on trails, we'll spend lots of time exploring what we find. Being Bob Pickett's monthly hike, you can count on being entertained by the wonder of nature. Dinner afterwards (optional). Please note the early start. 7AM at the north side Vienna metro. NEW: There is a $2 exit fee for cars left in the metro parking lot for the day. INFO: Bob Pickett, firstname.lastname@example.org.
