Description: Meet at 10:15 at the top of Foggy Bottom Metro. We will walk to Oak Hill Cemetery, then through Montrose Park and behind Dumbarton Oaks to Wisconsin Avenue. We will stop for lunch at the Georgetown Safeway deli. (If it is a nice day and you want to bring a sandwich, there are picnic tables in a nearby park). After lunch we will continue along the Whitehaven and Glover Archbold Trails to the towpath and Georgetown. Those who wish to stay in Georgetown may do so. The rest will walk across Key Bridge to the Roslyn Metro Station. The hike is a good five miles. The trail is at times rocky, hilly, rough. Poles are highly recommended. Bring water. Hike will be canceled if District schools are closed or opening late due to inclement weather.
